IMS, Inc. Holds Summer Writing Camp

IMS, Inc., a Scottsdale Airpark-based full-service marketing communications company, welcomed Kellie Coppola to its inaugural Summer Writing Camp. The camp is designed to give promising young writers a realistic look and hands-on practice in the disciplines of professional marketing and communications. Camp activities include goal setting, job shadowing with IMS’ career professionals, writing exercises and creative writing projects.

“We are passionate about what we do and think it is important to pass on knowledge and demonstrate how good writing is applied to advertising, internal and external communications, events, websites, collateral and the multitude of other creative initiatives we handle for our clients,“ said IMS, Inc. Founder and Principal Kathy Heasley. “Our goal is to expand our campers’ horizons as they consider a writing career, to build their writing skills and to have fun!” Heasley noted.

Coppola, who will enter Xavier College Preparatory High School in the fall, was selected because of her writing skills and her interest in learning more about how creative writing is used in the business world.
